Our story
It started with a
cracked beam.
Saravanan was called in to inspect a two-year-old house with a visible crack running through a main beam. The owner had paid a well-known local builder. There was no soil test, no structural drawing, and nobody left who would take responsibility.
The repair cost more than the original slab. The family had already moved in.
Covai Builders & Constructions was started on one rule we have never broken: the soil report and the structural design come before the quotation. Not after. Not "we'll adjust at site".
It is still the only thing that really separates us from everyone else on your shortlist — and it is still the thing most of our competitors will not do.

We've grown slowly and deliberately. Taking on more sites than we can staff is how quality dies.
2011 · Founded
Covai Builders & Constructions is registered in Coimbatore by Er. K. Saravanan. First project: an independent house in North Selvapuram.
2014 · In-house crews
We stop subcontracting. Masons, bar benders and carpenters come onto our own payroll with ESI and PF — a cost most competitors still avoid.
2016 · Fixed-price contracts
After a steel price shock burns three clients, we rewrite our agreement to absorb material escalation ourselves. It has never been reversed.
2018 · ISO 9001:2015
Quality management certification, plus ISO 45001 for site safety the following year. 100th home handed over in November.
2020 · Saturday reports
Lockdown forces a reporting system on us. Clients liked it so much it became permanent — every site, every week, to this day.
2022 · Interiors unit
Own modular manufacturing unit opens at Kurichi, bringing kitchens and wardrobes in-house alongside civil work.
2024 · 10-year warranty
Structural warranty extended from 5 to 10 years, transferable to a future owner. 300th home handed over.
2026 · Today
41 live sites, 86 people on payroll, and the same rule: soil report and structural design before the quotation.
